TallWood Design Institute Research & Design Symposium 2026 | Corvallis, OR.

October 8, 2026

Coming up on a decade of exciting mass timber research, the TallWood Design Institute is pleased to present the 9th annual Mass Timber Research & Design Innovation Symposium, held at Oregon State University.

At the symposium, attendees will hear from architecture, wood science, and engineering  faculty from the University of Oregon (UO) and Oregon State University (OSU) as they showcase important research and public initiatives to support the next wave of innovation in the mass timber space. We’ll end the sit-down session with a round table discussion on future research needs, then head over to the Emmerson Lab to see R&D projects in action, including the University of Oregon’s MPP House Prototype v2.0 and the OSU Fire Testing Lab, currently nearing completion of construction.

Registration is free, but please RSVP so we can set catering numbers accordingly, and let us know in advance if your plans change.

RSVP for the Symposium

With funding provided by the US Economic Development Administration to Oregon State University, we are laying the foundation for our shared vision of a globally competitive industry in mass timber.
