123 West Design Collective is an architecture and design studio creating sustainable, community-driven solutions across the Pacific Northwest. We integrate art, engineering, and graphic design to build projects that reflect local culture, support circular economies, and inspire innovation in housing, placemaking, and adaptive-reuse projects.

ACE provides college-and-career mentoring for high school students through project-based learning and career development in the fields of architecture, construction and engineering. ACE Oregon serves 150 youth per year; mentors are industry professionals from leading Oregon firms; we also have a small chapter in Vancouver. Mass timber is an emerging program element in team projects. 

The ACE Mentor Program of Washington introduces students in the greater Puget Sound region to careers in architecture, building engineering, and construction by matching them with volunteer A/E/C mentors and giving them a real-world design prompt during the school year. Cohorts respond to the challenge, addressing concepts through construction, covering all aspects of the design process including materials selection and mass timber as a material. During the program, mentors share their education, career paths, project resumes, and professional design experience – including with mass timber.
