The goal of this project is to expand demand and investment in mass timber through regulatory reform, capital access, and market development.
Key Strategies:
- Launch Target Market Accelerators for housing, healthcare, industrial/data centers, and military construction.
- Reform zoning and building codes in 20+ cities to enable modular housing.
- Educate investors and insurers; develop underwriting tools to de-risk projects.
- Support entrepreneurs with business training and access to capital.
- Create a revolving loan fund and online marketplace for modular housing.
Impact by 2035:
- Mass timber output grows from $3.6B to $10.6B.
- 25 new production facilities added.
- Mass timber becomes a preferred building material in public and private sectors.
- U.S. regains price parity with imports and leads in resilient, sustainable construction.
